KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Lady Wildcats came into todays game ready to play by jumping out to quick but short live lead. The Lady Vols went on a run before Kentucky hit a 3 pointer to stop the bleeding.
During the 2nd quarter Kentucky continued to fight back cutting into the lead but at the half the Vols were still leading the Wildcats 27-22. The start of the third quarter Tennessee came back out scoring nut Kentucky answered back briefly, By the end of the third quarter the Vols were leading the Wildcats 49-31.
The fourth quarter Tennessee never looked back by leading by 25 points. Kentucky tried to close the gap but the Vols were to much and sealed the victory 70-53.
Tennessee had four plays scoring in double figures and leading the charge with a Double Double was Rennia Davis with 16 points and 20 rebounds, Tamari Key with 19 points, Rae Burrell with 15 points and Kasiyahna Kushkituah with 11 points.
The Lady Vols play Thursday hosting Ole Miss Lady Rebels.
