Ewuosho named @TheSWAC Player of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Tobi Ewuosho earned his second Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Player of the Week award this season for his performance at the Basketball Destinations St. Pete Shootout last weekend.

Ewuosho led the Hornets in scoring both outings at the tournament against Austin Peay and UAB, including a career-high 25 points against Austin Peay in the final game. He connected on all four of his three-point attempts in the loss to the Governors.

He has scored in double figures in 11 of the 13 games played by Alabama State this season after Sunday’s game at Oregon, while scoring nine points in the two outings in which he didn’t reach double figures.

The senior currently leads the team in both scoring and rebounding and is among the conference leaders in several categories including points, rebounds, field goal percentage, three-point field goal percentage, free throws made, free throws attempted and free throw percentage.
