Well the game between Auburn and South Alabama lived up to the hype. Both teams coming into the game 2-0 on the season meeting for the first time since 1995. The Jags came out on fire at the start of the game going up on the Tigers 4-0 in the early part of the 1st half.

By halftime the lead had changed to the Tigers 38-30 with the Jags trailing only by 8 points. Jags were still trailing the Tigers in the 2nd half but continued to chip away at the lead. At around the 8:16 mark left in the game South Alabama held Auburn from scoring up until 5:07 which was 3:32 seconds. The score at that point of the game 56-65 with Auburn leading South Alabama.

The Jags continued to cut the into the lead and with 1 minute left to play South Alabama’s Andre Fox hits a 3 pointer to tie the game at 66-66. Auburn’s Isaac Okoro gets into the paint and slams it home to give Auburn the lead 68-66 with .42 seconds remaining. At the .28 second mark Fox hits another 3 pointer for the Jags to give them the lead 69-69 on the Tigers. With .2 seconds to go Okoro of Auburn hits a and 1 to give the Tigers the 70-69. Okoro misses the FT, the Jags has a chance for a 3 pointer but missed ball game. Auburn 70 South Alabama 69. South Alabama fought hard but came up short, look for the Jags to play well in conference play.
