Citronelle Boys Basketball with the Home Winner

CITRONELL, AL – There is no media coverage for high school sports in Citronelle, but Ballin Down South & Icons Sport made the trip up highway 45 North to capture the basketball talent they have to offer. Little do people know their was plenty of talent between the McIntosh Demons and the Citronelle Wildcats.

So let’s get right in to it, there was a capacity crowd at Citronelle High School, standing room only. The 1st quarter was even 9 to 9 both teams couldn’t get it going. The 2nd quarter was pretty much the same ending the 1st half 16-15 Citronelle up by 1 point.

In the 3rd quarter there was a lot of action than the first two quarters of the game. Citronelle’s Junior Forward Brunson Black had to dunks that made the crowd erupt with a loud Wildcat roar.

Citronelle’s Senior Forward Colby Reed and McIntosh’s 6’1 Senior Guard Donta Thomas both hit 6 points to keep the game close at the end of the third quarter. The 4th quarter belong to the Wildcats who outscored the Demons by 6 points and Junior Guard B.J. Jones on a fastbreak brought down the house.

Citronelle moves to 12-5 2-0 in Region play and McIntosh moves to 13-11 4-1 in Region play.
