Gone But Not Forgotten

McIntosh, ALKenya Reed a Senior at McIntosh High School was a Student-Athlete that excelled not only in her sports but in the classroom as well. I met Kenya at this years Robertsdale Pre-Thanksgiving Shootout along with her teammate Amonei Cunningham. Kenya ask myself and K.T. Thornton of Icons Sport Southeast why haven’t we came to any of their games.

After talking we decided that we would attend a game to see her and her team play. While on our way to Leroy, AL we stop by McIntosh High School to see them practice and the following week watched them play at Chickasaw High School and they won the game.

Kenya had a 4.0 GPA, and a 23 ACT score while playing basketball, running track and cheerleading. She had gotten expected academically to 3 different colleges (University of West Alabama, Faulkner University and Troy University) She wanted to major in accounting in college.

Here last basketball she played last Friday she had a double double against 6A Citronelle High School 14 points and 11 rebounds.
