Mobile, AL – Bishop State Community College has a new Women’s Basketball Coach at the helm Adria Harris. Coach Harris is a native of Mobile, AL graduated from St. Paul’s Episcopal High School. Harris went on to play Division 1 basketball at Alabama State University from 2001-05 under Head Coach Freda Freeman-Jackson. Harris was know for her defensive prowess and long range sniper ability from behind the arch.

Harris helped the Lady Hornets win two SWAC Titles and after graduating with a BA and Masters Degree she joined Coach Freeman-Jackson staff at ASU. Harris joined the ASU Coaching Staff after graduating, coached at several levels afterwards. Fast forward to today Coach Harris is the Women’s Basketball Head Coach at Bishop State. The Lady Wildcats are having one of the best seasons in Bishop State WBB history. The Lady Wildcats have won 11 straight games since December 17, 2021. The Lady Wildcats are #1 in the Southern Division of the ACCC at 9-2 overall 15-8.

Cordasia Harris 5’11 Forward

Cordasia Harris has earned ACCC Player of the Week two weeks in a row recently and leads the conference in several areas. The 5’11 forward is leading the conference in ppg (17.4) rpg (15.4) blks (3.3). Coach Harris has her squad playing at a high level but still expects more improvement on the floor. The Lady Wildcats will be back in action with 3 road games starting Monday Feb. 7th at Coastal Alabama – North, Thursday Feb. 10th at Enterprise State Community College and Wednesday 16th at Wallace Community College-Selma.
